History

In 1954, a survey team from a small Methodist denomination came to the Upper Moreland area and talked with many local people about the need and interest in having a Bible-believing church in the community. After this initial survey period, they felt led by God to begin a new church in the Moreland Village area of Upper Moreland Township, adjacent to Hatboro. A home was purchased at 723 Preston Lane, and services began that same year. The property was purchased across the street, and a new sanctuary was built in 1957. Three years later, an addition was completed. As the church continued to grow, a larger sanctuary was built in 1975. The older building is now used as a multipurpose building, including a fellowship hall and educational rooms. HCC is also home to Hearts ‘n Hands Childcare and Preschool. We have been serving the preschool need in the community for over 40 years. After over 65 years of ministry for God, we continue to be a spiritual influence within our community
